What is Nihongo Speedrun?
A JLPT drill app optimized for one number: how many items you convert from wrong-answer to right-answer per minute of your time. Short 10-question speedruns with staged hints and audio. Currently in alpha.
Why is the question bank small?
We're in early-access alpha. The N5 bank is intentionally small while we get the loop right with first users. New items are added weekly based on what early users tell us they need. If content runs out, email us — we'll prioritise.
How does the free trial work?
Both paid plans include a 7-day free trial. You'll need a credit card upfront, but you can cancel anytime before the trial ends and won't be charged.
How do I cancel?
Account → Manage subscription → Cancel. Or email us. No retention dance, no "are you sure". One click.
What's a "conversion"?
An item you got wrong on first attempt, then got right on the next review (24h–7d later) without needing past Stage 1 hints. It's the metric we judge ourselves by — and the one we show you on /stats.
Refund policy?
Charged in error? Email us, we refund. No questions during the 7-day trial. After the first paid month, refunds are case-by-case but generous.
Where's my data?
DigitalOcean droplet, US West region, daily backups. We don't sell data. Account deletion is one click on /account and removes everything.
